Linear bricks are traditionally associated with ancient times but have seen a resurgence in modern Britain. They are slender bricks which help to carry your eye along the length of the building but they come at a price. A more cost effective way of achieving a similar look is to use a Dutch or Flemish 50mm format. They are often carried in stock with our European partners and are a similar price to an average brick in the UK. You can butt joint every other brick, use flush vertical joints and recessed horizontal joints and some bricks have a jointless system, all of which help to create the Roman look, without the price.
