If you want to see an innovative use of stack bonded brickwork used in an interesting and creative way, look no further than the Hitra Building in Tehran, designed by Hooba Design Studio. The bricks have been used as a second skin to shield the large expanse of glass from the sun. The radial corners and cantilevered floors make full use of the site and creates a facade that changes colour depending on the weather.

The soft terracotta hue of the brick with the turquoise painted reveals work beautifully, as if a piece of the sea has been trapped between the inner and outer leaf of the building. Click here to see the full article on Dezeen Magazine.
